Install a large insert poele/log fire into a renovated building in Tignes, 73320. The model is the 'Fondis Passion' which has a very high output. This model has an upwards opening door and can duct warm air into other rooms. The work is to install the unit into a corner location and attach it to the new chimney flue. A chamber needs to be constructed around the unit and then one or more warm air ducts must then be fitted to channel warm air from the chamber down to the ground floor (electric fan driven) with a couple of open/close vents en-route. Once installed, the whole unit needs to have a surround built around it, to house it, as if it were installed into a wall. The floor that the unit will sit on already has under floor heating in it, so it has to sit raised above that floor. There is a route for the ducting down the stairwell. One concrete stair tread would need to be drilled through. We can supply all the parts and the actual unit, although we would also be interested to see what you could supply them for, as we have not purchased them yet.

We are buying a large detached village house we expect to complete in October. The house is in a protected village next to the Church so this will have to be taken into consideration if the canal tiles are changed. The house is 17th century and has a footprint of 300m2, the roof area is about 390m2. There are eight chimneys and some of these will need to be rebuilt above the roof level. The wooden structure does not use the expected over sized timbers normally found, some of the timbers need to be replaced/reinforced, the roof has sagged in places and has leaked in numerous areas, so it is a major job. The house in on a road on the front and one side with good access one the other two, the roof is double hipped, well triple as one end wall is staggered.
